Bots, marked: how a public table fills
When a seat goes to a bot, how long we wait first, and how you can always tell a bot from a player.
People first
A public table waits for people. Players join as they arrive, and the table opens when its seats are full.
When a bot sits down
If seats stay empty, bots take them. How long we wait depends on how quickly tables of that size usually fill, and it stays between 30 and 90 seconds; with fewer than 30 players online it’s 20 seconds. Each empty seat shows its countdown, “Bot in N s”, for the last 15 seconds, so a bot never sits down unannounced.
Always marked
A bot has a bot disc for an avatar and a BOT mark where a player’s flag would be, at the table and on the result. Tap one to see what it is. Bots don’t chat and never join the table’s voice room.
Same rules, full pay
Bots play by the same rules and never run out of time. At public tables they even forget the Macao call about one time in twenty, and draw five like anyone would. The table pays in full: points and seeds go by place as if every seat were a player, and bots take none of them.
Where bots play
Only at public tables. Friend tables, private rooms and tournaments seat people only.
