Glossary

Attack — a 2 (+2), a 3 (+3), the black joker (+5) or the red joker (+10). The next player answers with an attack of their own or draws the total.

Answer — playing an attack card on an attack. The totals add up.

Cancel — a 7 played on an attack. The whole total is gone; nobody draws.

Sit out — what a 4 does to the next player: they skip a turn, unless they pass it on with a 4 of their own.

Naming a suit — an ace goes on anything and names the suit the next player has to follow.

Macau — the call when your play leaves you with one card. Forget it and the next player can catch you: you draw 5.

Draw pile — the face-down cards you draw from. When it runs out, the discard pile is shuffled into a new one; the top card stays.

Discard pile — the face-up pile you play onto. Its top card is what you match.

Place — your finishing position: 1st out, 2nd out and so on. Places decide points and seeds.

Public table — 2, 3 or 4 seats with players from anywhere. Bots fill the seats nobody takes, and they are always marked.

Seed (of a deal) — the value every shuffle starts from. Shown after the game so you can check the deal.

Seeds — the currency. Earned by placing at public tables and in tournaments, spent in the shop.

Joker (power-up) — the only power-up: pulls a card of your choice once a game. Not the joker card.

Season — the monthly leaderboard. Points for every finish, rewards when the month ends.

Club — up to 50 players with a club chat and a club ladder.

Pro — the subscription that removes the ads.
